Tracks and Traces, Contemporary Australian Art. The Negev Museum of Art and Sherman Contemporary Art Foundation.

30 October 2017 –10 February 2018

An exhibition of contemporary Australian art at the Negev Museum of Art in Be’er Sheva, marking the centenary of the Battle of Beersheba 1917 and pivotal role played in the First World War by ANZAC troops.

Tracks and Traces presents a complex view of Australia that transcends any particular historical moment, featuring works by nine contemporary artists.

In a fruitful collaboration with the Sherman Contemporary Art Foundation, Sydney, the works selected for exhibition aim to bring to light questions pertaining to identity, commemoration and legacies, and mankind’s particular connection and attitude to land and landscape.
