Micha Bar-Am: Kibbutz

“Micha Bar-Am: Kibbutz” recounts the story of the Kibbutzim as a pioneering force at the vanguard of social and communal living in Israel. Bar-Am’s lens captures the everyday life of the kibbutz members, the power of cooperation, the value of labor and a cultural birth. At the same time, Bar-Am’s photographs capture the early signs of rifts and intracacies of kibbutz life that ultimately led to their dissolution.
