A ‘Circular Hub,’ originally planned to house Hashomer Hatzair socialist youth movement’s first permanent headquarters, is sited within the Givat Haviva campus, adjacent to the historic library and the water tower. The new facility offers offices and multiple meet-up areas, consolidating Hashomer Hatzair’s dispersed administrative units while activating the campus core.
Post-Covid, and following the October 7th war in Gaza, the Circular Hub shifted in both siting and occupants, now serving as The Kibbutz Movement’s headquarters, positioned beneath a tree canopy near Givat Haviva’s administrative and management offices.
The project’s circular footprint, climatic envelope, and flexible shared and individual work spaces afford a range of corporeal experiences, melding ecological and social agendas as a manifestation of the Kibbutz Movement’s values of equity and progressive, shared living.
